A Shared Vision for Better Care

Helen and Aqila have worked together to establish and lead the Leeds Providers Forum, bringing independent home care providers from across Leeds together with a common purpose: to improve outcomes for the people they support.

The Forum was created on the belief that collaboration is stronger than competition. By encouraging providers to share knowledge, learn from one another and tackle challenges collectively, the Forum has helped create a stronger voice for the home care sector while keeping the needs of people receiving care at the centre of every conversation.

Championing Independence, Choice and Control

At the centre of great home care is the ability for people to live life on their own terms. Independence, choice and control are not just aspirations; they are fundamental to helping people maintain dignity, confidence and quality of life.

Through the Leeds Providers Forum, Helen and Aqila have championed these values by creating opportunities for providers to work together, share best practice and find new ways to deliver person-centred support.

Their leadership shows how partnership working can drive positive change, strengthen local services and ultimately improve experiences for people who use care services and their families.

Recognition That Inspires Us All

Being shortlisted for a Leeds Quality in Care Award recognises not only Helen and Aqila’s leadership, but also the power of collaboration across the care sector.

Their success reminds us that when organisations come together with a shared purpose, they can achieve far more than they could alone. It shows what is possible when innovation, compassion, and commitment combine to create better outcomes for local communities.

Looking Ahead and Awards Ceremony

Everyone at Personal Care Specialists is incredibly proud of Helen and Aqila and the impact they continue to make across Leeds.

We congratulate them on reaching the final and thank them for their ongoing commitment to improving care, supporting providers, and championing the people at the heart of our sector. We look forward to celebrating with them at the Leeds Quality in Care Awards ceremony in November and wish them the very best of luck.

Congratulations, Helen and Aqila. Your leadership, dedication and vision continue to inspire us all. 🏆💙
