Home Care Registered Manager Award: Helen

Our Registered Manager, Helen, brings over 30 years of experience to Personal Care Specialists. Her leadership has transformed our service, which continues to raise standards ensuring dignity, privacy, and truly person-centred care.

Helen’s approach includes regular appraisals, mentoring, and open communication, as well as innovative use of technology for real-time care monitoring. She supports staff development and collaborates with healthcare professionals, driving business growth and upholding our reputation for outstanding care across Leeds and Yorkshire.

Home Care Newcomer Award: Mei

Mei joined us less than a year ago, bringing a wealth of experience from her previous nursing role in Hong Kong. Her transition to domiciliary care has been seamless, and her clinical background enriches her person-centred approach.

Mei is known for her empathy, respect, and professionalism, consistently going above and beyond for service users. Her impact in a short time has been remarkable, making her a truly deserving nominee.

Home Care Worker Award: Stacey

Stacey is an exceptional home care worker whose dedication and initiative consistently elevate the lives of those she supports. She empowers service users, respects their privacy and dignity, and builds trusting relationships.

Stacey’s commitment to holistic, personalised care shines through in everything she does, and she is praised by both service users and colleagues for her warmth, reliability, and excellence.

Co-Production Award: Leeds Providers Forum

The Leeds Providers Forum was founded by Aqila Choudhry MBE from Love in Care and our own Helen Cook. It unites small independent home care providers across Leeds to amplify their voices and improve care outcomes. With over 50 active members and a mission to engage all 250 small providers in the region, the Forum is reshaping care delivery by placing people, relationships, and dignity at the centre.

By championing neighbourhood providers and fostering collaboration, the Forum ensures client choice and drives lasting change in the sector. Their commitment to person-centred care and collaborative excellence makes them a deserving recipient of this award.

The Great British Care Awards Regional Finals

The final awards ceremony will take place on 7th November at The Armouries, Leeds. We look forward to celebrating with our fellow nominees and the wider care community.
