Our Management Team has many years of experience working in the care sector at all levels. Through this vast experience, we know we must listen and work closely with our Service Users and their families, to ensure they can stay in their homes with the care and support they need.
Helen Cook, Managing Director and Registered Manager
Helen, the guiding force behind Personal Care Specialists, boasts an impressive tenure of over 28 years in the care industry, having experienced the sector from every vantage point.
Starting her career as a carer, Helen has diligently worked her way up through all levels, culminating in her current roles. In 2009, her expertise was formally recognised when she obtained her Registered Managers Award (RMA), further showcasing her commitment to excellence in care.
With a rich history of managing home care services for a variety of providers, Helen’s role involves overseeing the operation of all care services to ensure compliance with the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) standards and legislation.
Karen Murphy, Team Leader
Karen’s transition into the care sector marks a significant chapter in her career. Originating from a background outside of care, Karen joined us as a Care Worker in September 2018.
Her natural aptitude and dedication quickly shone through, leading to her advancement to Team Leader by November 2019.
Karen has embraced her new role with remarkable ease and grace, reminiscent of a duck to water. She is currently furthering her expertise by pursuing her QCF qualifications, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in care.
Jordan Whitcombe, Team Leader
Jordan’s journey with us began in June 2017, when he stepped into the role of a Care Worker, bringing a passion and dedication that quickly set him apart.
Within just a year, in June 2018, Jordan’s remarkable drive and ambition saw him promoted to Team Leader.
Embracing this role with unwavering determination, Jordan has not only excelled as a Team Leader but has also successfully attained his QCF Level 3, further solidifying his commitment to providing exceptional care.
